Beef Lasagne

Introducing the comfort food that can turn any sad moment into a happy one. This recipe is a family favorite, especially for my son who begs me to make it every weekend. This comfort food is sure to be a crowd-pleaser, satisfying all cravings and bringing joy to any meal.


Ingredients (Meat Sauce)

  • 1kg Minced Meat
  • 1 Large Onions
  • 1 Garlic Cloves
  • 1 Tspn Italian Herbs
  • 1 Tspn Black Pepper
  • 1 Tspn Paprika
  • ¼ Cup Cooking Oil
  • 1 tin Chopped Tomatoes
  • 400g of Grated Cheddar Cheese

Ingredients (Béchamel sauce)

  • 4 Tbsp Flour
  • 2 Cups of Milk
  • 100g Butter

Ingredients (Lasagne Layers)

  • 1 pkt Lasagne Sheets

Method (Meat Sauce)

  1. Fry the diced onion and, garlic and add the minced meat.
  2. Add the spices then add the tomatoes.
  3. Let it simmer for 10 minutes on low heat then set aside.

Method (Béchamel sauce)

  1. In another saucepan, melt butter then add flour on medium heat.
  2. Add milk and whisk until it is well incorporated.
  3. When it gets too thick add more milk.
  4. Let it have a smooth consistency and simmer for 5 mins on low heat then set aside.

Method (Lasagne)

  1. In a casserole dish, lay the meat sauce, and the Béchamel sauce then add the lasagne sheets.
  2. Repeat the process until reaches the upper position on the dish.
  3. The last layer should be of the meat sauce, Béchamel sauce, and cheese.
  4. Place in oven to bake until the cheese has melted.
  5. Let it cool for 5 minutes then serve.
